Man, if I had a dollar for everyone that said “I need to get in shape before I join your gym”…Well, I couldn’t quite retire, but I’d have hundreds of dollars!
So, what happens if you actually do join Planet Fitness, for instance, to “get in shape” before taking the plunge to Vero Strength?
I believe some of the real reasons people don’t join are:
The two reasons above could not be further from the truth.
For one, our gym is full of what we, in the gym business, refer to as “general population.” What that means is that we cater to real people and not professional athletes. Everyone has jobs and families and a desire to be the best, most fit versions of themselves and that looks different for each individual.
Intimidation (aka gymtimidation) is real and common. But, most everyone, after stepping into Vero Strength, remarks “everyone is so nice and welcoming.” And they aren’t just talking about Vero Strength’s staff, but also our members. These members were all once in those same shoes, so they empathize on how hard the first step can be, which makes them truly excited to meet new people ready to take on their fitness journey.
Lastly, ok, we will look at you. But, it’s because we are there to coach you, not judge you. You aren’t an expert in the fitness world. You may have done things incorrectly in the past. You may be 100% new to fitness. That’s OK, you’re here now.
One disclaimer is that many people say they want a change, but aren’t ready for the work. If you’re truly ready to work, read below:
