Spotlight on: Don Edwards

I always use Don as an example of someone who has come a long way here at CFVB. I talk about the fact that he never worked out before jumping right in to CrossFit and that he lacked a lot of functional movement when he first started in April.

Fast forward nine months and Don is an entirely different person…he's an athlete! He can do weighted pull-ups, climb a rope, skin the cat, box jump, run, deadlift and more. Just recently, I witnessed him effortlessly back squat 225# with perfect form. Oh, and Don has lost over 25 pounds!

If I had to pinpoint the characteristic that has made him so successful, it's his great attitude. Don has added so much charisma and fun to our gym and he brought us his awesome wife, Sundra. Everyone loves The Edwards and we couldn't imagine CFVB without them!

I have known Don for a long time because I cheered with his daughter Leslee in high school. He has always been an upbeat guy with a smile on his face and I find his success at Crossfit just remarkable. Way to go Don! You are an inspiration to us all 🙂
Looking forward to working on my ring dips today!

Don and Sundra are part of the reason I’m a 6pm-er. They always push not only themselves but the rest of us too. I’ve seen Don do things I’m not sure I have the guts to try!
The only bad thing I can say is that is sucks getting beat by someone 20 years your senior 🙂

The 6 am class was almost back to full strength this am, (still missing John C). There seems to be a lot of smack talking between the different classes. Maybe a friendly competition to decide that the 6 am’ers are the best, might be in order?

Yall better not forget that 7am crew! We definitly need a friendly comp on the next rest day. A WOD that is user friendly though “ROB” none of that moving heavy weight fast! LOL. Honestly I compete everyday with everyones times and I know Im not the only one.. But I love the fact that CFVB has the athletes we have…Makes working out fun… Wendy set that up.. Hooah!
