There is nothing more frustrating than a plateau. You lost weight fast when you first started CrossFit, now the scale won't budge. Or you were consistently getting stronger and PRing workouts, but now you feel like you are in a rut.

What gives?

The answer, many times, is nutrition. Are you eating enough protein? Are you drinking too much alcohol? Eating too many carbs? Not eating many vegetables or healthy fats?

If you are hitting a plateau, take an honest look at what you do outside the gym and you will probably find your answer.

Workout of the Day

3 rounds for time:
800m run
50 kettlebell swings (55#/35#)

Charlie & I have been guilty of some of the above , especially this weekend, we were celebrating Crossfits Vero Beach’s FGB
victory! We paid for it this morning, time to clean up. Kristi we could not catch you this morning, you helped push me. Bryan, Diane, Vicki, Sandy welcome back, we missed you.

I too need to get back to business and really get strict because it makes such a difference in appearance, mood, and performance. Excellent job to everyone this morning on pushing through an intense WOD. Welcome back cruisers 🙂

Wendy, I went to the doc this morning for my ankle and was told to stay off it for a couple weeks. I am going to go crazy! I need some upper body only workouts, please. Great job to everybody that did FGB!

So, I was staring at this pic for todays blog. (I am allowed to, since Alex is my husband) Anyway, one would think that a push press is just shoulders… but when you look at the pic, it is much more… Core, arms, calves, everything…
No wonder why everyone who does crossfit just shrinks down and gets toned up so quickly….

Thanks for the welcome backs. It was good to be back today, but it was also tough for me after a week of cruising. Forget just the plateau, I gained weight over the week away. I really need to buckle down and get back on track. Thanks to all the ones pushing me this morning too.

Oh boy! This doesn’t sound like I’m going to like what I’m in for. Maybe I’ll just rest for a couple weeks. lol

Charlie does give great massages! Although, I am not sure if I sweat more in my 5:00pm workout or during his deep tissue massage! LOL Thanks Charlie for working on my hip…..we’ll see how it goes tomorrow.
