Navy Seal 5K

The 2009 Seal 5K will be held November 7 at 7 AM. This is not a normal 5K – it's run on the beach, in the sand. Rob, Carlo, Dave from Treasure Coast CrossFit and I completed it last year and it was brutal because it was during high tide, so we ran on the soft sand. Let's hope for low tide this year!

    We saw Daniel on the main web site last night and tried not to lose sleep over it! I have to say it looked intimidating ,but after Charlie and I did the WOD we felt great. We both have been in a funk lately and it really helped clear the brain a really good purging(no puking). I tried to think of excuses my hands are beat up and raw, my shoulder is almost better(Charlie’s been working on it!) not 100%, but I scaled down the weight and the pull ups and am glad I did it. It is always nice having Wendy right in there with us, so we push harder and try to catch her as she is RXing it and still beating us!
    So if you are trying to come up with excuses don’t, they are closed Sunday so get your WOD’s in and just do it!

    I did this wod at the “club” this morning with Norma (in the COLD A/C) we did our running on the tread mill. It was a good workout. We were told we were cheating doing the jumping pull ups, lol!!!!! I told them to get up there and do 100 and then let me know what they think. I missed MY gym and the smiley faces saying,”good morning”!! See you guys tomorrow.

  5. Diane who ever told you that knows nothing about ripped hands and you should of showed them some kipping pull ups and asked if they can do plyo pull ups.

  7. Yeah, Diane…you should have kipped 10 out and shut them up! CrossFit is never as good in a regular gym, but I am glad you did the WOD. It wasn’t too bad. I was so proud of my time…until Rob did it and crushed me!
