I didn’t compete, but seeing the scaled workouts this year that I could complete and the fun and commradary in the gym during the open workouts. I may have to try it next year.

Great to compete for the first time in many years. I really liked being able to do the workouts with my wife, Lisa! Discovered the power of the grunt which pushed me through 15.5. I’m already looking forward to attempting some of 16’s at Rx!

I enjoyed the Open. Although some numbers still need to shake out I think I may have secured that coveted 38,123rd spot (which I’m pretty jazzed about since its 20,000 spots or so better than last year). Favorite part of the Open was the Muscle Up workout. Didn’t think I would get as many as I did. Will definitely do it again.

I LOVE the Open! Both years I have surprised myself by doing something I wasn’t so sure I could actually do… It’s great because that pushes me over a hurdle then in the upcoming WODs during the regular weeks I know I can handle a certain weight or do a certain movement. It keeps me progressing. Also spotlights my weaknesses so I know what to work harder on. Plus I loved the anticipation every week- following all the social media. So much fun!
