Let the Games Begin!

The 2010 CrossFit Games website is now up and preliminary information has been posted. Because of the popularity of the Games, there are two levels of qualifiers – sectionals and regionals. Sectionals (all of Florida) will be held in March. Regionals (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina) will be in May.

15 men and 15 women will advance from sectionals to regionals. Just 4 men/4 women will advance from regionals to the Games. Our region is larger than last year and they are sending less people and the grand prize at the Games is $25,000…talk about competition!

    Go for the workout Rachel you will feel better.
    I am going to feel bad all day knowing I only did 20 sit ups per round and not 30. Mistakes happen I guess.

    Hey Wendy, it looks like our Wekiva kayaking trip is off due to the iffy weather. If it’s not too late to RSVP, I think I’ll be able to make the WOD/party tomorrow. Is there anything specific you think I should bring?

  3. Great news, Debbie! I’m not sure specifically what you can bring. Here’s what I know is being brought: pulled pork, chicken, banana bread, salad, chips/salsa, sangria, tomato/mozarella salad.

    I am definitely out for the party tomorrow. Chris I think is still gonna stop by. It looks like I may be doing another at home WOD today also. I am doing some volunteer work tonight and have to be there at 6:30. Don’t worry Wendy, whatever I do will include some running just like the one I did on Wednesday….ugh!
