Member Spotlight – Joe Porter

This guy. He’s funny (albeit a little on the perverse side!), he’s a loving family man and he’s got a heart of gold. Joe has been a big

part of the gym for six years. In that time, we’ve seen him go from “husband” to “dad,” a role he takes with pride.

Joe is always one to participate in gym parties and activities and, despite a demanding job that includes travel, makes time for the gym. Over a year ago, he was involved in a car accident when a horse ran into his truck on I-95. Unfortunately, this resulted in back surgery and pain. However, this hasn’t stopped Joe! He’s consistently done

Structure workouts for six months and is finally feeling well enough to be back in classes. We love him for his perseverance and for so many other

reasons!

Little Known Fact:  I played DII baseball for Wingate University in North Carolina before transferring to South Carolina and becoming a cheerleader.  That’s how I met my wife and the rest is history.  Also, how many people do you know that have had a car accident with a horse?  Crazy but I am on the upside now of the surgery following my accident and finally have my diet in control and some of my old strength is slowing coming back.  Big thanks to you guys and Structure!
