Functional Fitness

While we are Vero’s only CrossFit affiliate, we use not only CrossFit principles but also pull from some of the best coaches and training systems in the world, blending it all into a unique and effective program. At Vero Strength you will find cardio, weightlifting, accessory work, functional bodybuilding, plyometrics, gymnastics and mobility.

This program is for everyone! Functional Fitness requires 1-on-1 introductory sessions to safely learn our movements, as well as appropriate scaling and modifications for the individual.

Sweat

Sweat is our high-intensity class centered around cardio. You will row, bike, ski, run, and perform resistance exercises and bodyweight movements. Sweat is a fun and well-coached class open to everyone, no prior experience or personal sessions required.

Teens

Our Teens program is for 12-17 year-olds looking to improve overall health, receive general strength and conditioning for sports and achieve peak fitness. Led by a coach, this program builds confidence, power, strength and endurance. It is appropriate for the beginner to the elite student athlete.

Kids

Our CrossFit Kids program is for ages 5-11 and focuses on fun! We run several camps throughout the year to teach kids teamwork and properly executed functional movements under the guidance of a certified coach. Regardless of whether kids play sports, healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift and jump, effectively and safely.

Personal and Small Group Training

We love working 1-on-1 in private sessions to help people reach their individual goals at a time that wors best for you. Sessions range from 30 minutes to one hour, so it can fit in anyone’s schedule. Whether you need accountability, it’s been some time since you were active, or you’ve got specific athletic goals, we’ve got you covered. Our coaches are personally-interested in you and want you to reach your highest potential.

Nutrition

The key to body composition and optimal health is diet. Our staff includes a Registered Dietician as well as a nutrition coach who can educate you on what to eat as well as the appropriate amounts so that you’re fueled properly and get lots of nutrients.

Sunday Strong

Sunday Strong is a free, 60-minute session for special needs athletes in the community who want to increase their mobility, strength and endurance in a fun, encouraging and team-oriented environment. While each class is different, our programming focuses on functional movements such as pushing, pulling, squatting, jumping and running, which prove to be beneficial in everyday life. Classes also incorporate our rowers, bikes and ski machines for cardio-based exercise. Coaches are always available to make modifications for each movement and workout depending on each athlete’s specific disabilities and needs.

Physical Therapy

In the comfort of a professional clinic located at our gym, our Exercise Rehab program is led by Joanne Duncanson, a licensed Physical Therapist since 1992. Her specialties include Orthopedic/Sports Medicine, Manual Therapy, Neuromuscular Re-educations and she is also a Certified Personal Trainer, USATF (USA Track and Field) Certified Running Coach and Pose Method Running Technique Specialist. Methods and techniques include foam roller and physio ball, KT taping, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and more. The types of athletes Joanne has treated include CrossFit, running, tennis, golf, football, soccer, rowing, dance, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, baseball.

Golf Power Lab

Don’t let physical limitations affect your game. The Golf Power Lab at Vero Strength is designed to identify and fix any physical imbalances to create an optimal, effortless and more powerful swing.

By way of body screening with a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified coach, we can develop a personalized program focused on improving your game through the use of specific exercise, proper movement reinforcement and mobility.

Our programs are designed around your schedule, from one to four sessions per week and are appropriate, no matter your strength training background. We work with a wide variety of players, from those just starting out to athletes who have been hitting the links for years.
