Spotlight – David & Julia Carter
February’s first member spotlight is a “power couple” edition featuring David and Julia Carter. You know her as the heartless wife who finishes the workout first, then steps over
her husbands lifeless body on her way out the door. You know him as the dude with the knee sleeves…on his elbows. Or maybe you know Julia from her colorful and lively artwork, which can be seen at Tiger Lily Studio downtown. If David looks familiar, it may be because you’ve seen him in his
law firm’s television commercials (the camera loves him!).
We really enjoy these two and their entire family, all of whom have been CFVB members over the past two years.
There is never a dull moment when the Carters are around!

Favorite CrossFit movement or workout:
– David : double-unders because because he can do them and Julia can’t!
– Julia: Rope climbs and not just because David can’t do them.
Favorite cheat meal:
David: blue cheese stuffed olives at the bottom of a martini.
Julia: granola & froyo
Hobbies: we love to dive and snow ski.
Little known fact about you:
David is a 4th generation native. His great grandfather, a surveyor, laid out the original town of Vero Beach
and designed/built the canals that keep Crossfit from being a swamp.
Julia collects wigs and likes to prank people by fake falling in public. She was recently ven the opportunity to depart a cruise early after an alleged mooning incident in a glass elevator.
