Member Spotlight – PJ Salter
Although PJ has only been at CFVB a year, we feel like we’ve known him forever. Maybe that’s because he made quite an impression on us while accompanying his wife, Lisa, to last year’s CFVB party (damn that free beer!). Since then, he’s dove right into the program, participating in the 2015 Open and also competing in Vero Beast.
PJ knows the words to EVERY song – we are talking gangsta rap to rock and everything in between. He’s also on the best-dressed list (we get to see him leave for work each morning looking quite dapper). He’s a proud father, a supportive husband and has a genuinely positive attitude in everything he tackles (PS: read his whiteboard comments each day).

Occupation: Golf Course Superintendent at the Riomar Country Club
Family: Lisa, my hot and wonderful wife of 8 years! Tallulah, my 3 year old princess and future CrossFitter (although Lisa’s steering her hard towards ponies!). Lucy-13 year old Australian Cattle Dog, MiniBit-11 year old Chihuahua, Lady Sybil and Branson-2 year old gray cats and Wink-Thoroughbred horse.

Favorite cheat meal: Pepperoni pizza, fried chicken, and french fries all at once
Hobbies: Spending time with my girls, singing, and devouring anything Michigan State Spartan Football or Basketball (class of 2005)
Little known fact about you: Back in my glory days as Vice President of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at MSU I won the Greek Week battle of the bands with a rendition of “Save a Horse; Ride a Cowboy” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” I’ve been chasing another 15 minutes of fame ever since.
