Junk Food

The following article goes into many of the facts about sugar and insulin I reference in the Paleo Guide that you receive via email when you first join CFVB. It also digs a little deeper and touches on bad fats and food dyes found in junk food.

    The article seems very fear based and takes a inch and goes miles. Why are you agaisnt sugar so much? I’ll leave this here

    If someone’s diet is made mainly of micronutrient deprived food (junk foods) then I agree that there is a problem, but someone eating a snickers and a few servings of chips in a diet that is made up of primarily whole foods will not have any health problems (context). Also personal preference plays a huge roll as we’ll, if someone doesn’t like snickers then they don’t have to eat it, but someone who does shouldn’t be afraid.

      Sure, we all eat sugar now and then – we are human. I’m talking about daily consumption, which I don’t agree with.

      I disagree with your statement…we SHOULD be afraid of sugar.

    Thanks guys!!!! This was such a major accomplishment for me. I’ve been working hard wth my weighted pull ups for SWAT and I’m pretty sure that transferred over 🙂

    On the topic of sugar, the FDA has released their official stance on sugar and it stated cancer, diabetes and obesity as well as a host of other diseases as reasons to stay away from sugar. You cannot recommend sugar for any reason because it contains ZERO nutritional value. It makes people sick. Period. Is the occasional candy bar ok?…. is arsenic taken at small amounts intermittently a safe statement?

    On the subject of personal preference … humans have to eat a human diet. We are designated homo sapiens. By nature we are omnivorous fruigivores. We’re not meant to eat exclusively vegetation or exclusively meat. Preferences are out of the question. You have to eat the foods that agree with the complexity of you digestive system and how the human body chemistry works. It’s science. It’s never preference or moderation.
